WeBWorK is community supported software. Developers, site administrators, problem authors, instructors, and others in the community freely volunteer their time and expertise to improve the software, problem library, and documentation; provide training and technical support, and help to make WeBWorK better in hundreds of ways.

Where can I get help?

  • Forums:

    Your best bet for getting help with questions about WeBWorK problem authoring, software installation and configuration, course administration, pedagogical advice about using WeBWorK, and many other questions.

  • IRC:

    WeBWorK developers can often be found in the #webwork channel at Our wiki page contains instructions to help you get started, if you need them.

  • Email lists:

    You can sign up for email lists. These are probably of interest mainly to developers.

  • Training:

    WeBWorK training workshop are held regularly at locations throughout North America, often in conjunction with MAA regional meetings. Consult the wiki for more information.
